Biography

2008-2014

In 2008 Nick Hatt began to work in VTB Capital and to be responsible for the international business of this company. In the 2014th he headed VTB Capital plc. Before Hatt took the leading positions in financial divisions of investment banking business, including worked as the global head of internal control at emerging markets of Deutsche Bank.

2020: Appointment of the chairman of the board of VTB Bank (Europe) SE

On July 7, 2020 announced VTB appointment of the new head of the European representation. Nick Hatt who will replace on this post of Artur Ilyaev leaving group became the chairman of the board of VTB Bank (Europe) SE. New work location of Ilyaev is not called.

At this position he will be responsible for strategy implementation of development of bank in the European market with focus on further increase in volumes of crediting, implementation of trade operations for the European and Russian clients and development of individual finance solutions and services which include different types of assets and products.

For the last several years we paid special attention to operating activities in Europe, and I consider that Nick Hatt who has extensive work experience in VTB Group and investment banking business will help the VTB Bank (Europe) SE team to achieve the further growth of indicators due to creation of new demanded products and services — the first deputy chairman of the board of VTB Yury Solovyov whose words are cited in the press release said.

Within structure of VTB Bank (Europe) SE and the uniform banking license the Russian bank integrates the divisions in Germany, Austria and France. The headquarters of bank is located in Frankfurt am Main.

Yury Solovyov noted that consolidation of banks took place under the leadership of Ilyaev there was consolidation of banks in continental Europe that allowed allowed to increase operational efficiency of our European structures.[1]
