In 1972 received degree of the bachelor of the humanities at the University of the State of Minnesota, in 1975 - degree of the Doctor of Law in Pennsylvania State University.
In December, 1975 began to work in EY in Minneapolis (the State of Minnesota, the USA), and in 1985 became the partner in taxation of EY in the same place.
From 1995 to 2000 Karl Dzhokhansson held a position of the managing partner of EY in the CIS. Then was the vice-chairman of Board of Directors of EY Global and the member of the international council of the company. Also worked in China, promoting development and expansion of practice of EY.
In July, 2006 returned to Moscow to a position of the managing partner of EY in the CIS. In January, 2014 left this post in connection with retirement. Its place was taken by the new head Joe Vatt.
