Kevin Johnson began the activity in Juniper Networks company in September, 2008, having held a post of the CEO and having joined the board.
Before transition to Juniper Mr. Johnson within 16 years held different executive positions in Microsoft company. In 2005 he was appointed to a position of the head of department of platforms and services and headed work on development of server solutions and tools, the Windows system and online services.
Under its management this department achieved record results – more than 20 billion dollars of income in 2008 financial year. Before Mr. Johnson was a deputy manager of the group which is engaged in the organization of the international network of sales, marketing and support of products of Microsoft. At this position he directed the international collective consisting from more than 30000 employees of the company and also supervised the questions of corporate work and use of information technologies connected with the organization of the international business Microsoft. Before the transition to Microsoft it worked in IBM, being engaged in system integration and consultation.
Mr. Johnson has the bachelor's degree in the field of business management received in New Mexico State University. Mr. Johnson is one of founders and the board member of the NPower non-profit organization helping other non-profit organizations to use information technologies for the purpose of expansion of influence and increase in the audience. Besides, Mr. Johnson is a part of council of the western department of the Advisors of Catalyst non-profit organization helping women to move ahead on a career ladder.
Mr. Johnson was appointed by the President of the United States of America to a position of the member of advisory committee on ensuring national security with means of telecommunications. Mr. Johnson is also included into Board of Directors of Starbucks Coffee Company.
