Biography
Alexander Gennadiyevich Khloponin was born on March 6, 1965 in the city of Colombo (Ceylon). Russian politician, former governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai from September, 2002 to January 19, 2010. Since January 19, 2010 — the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and the plenipotentiary of the President in the neogenic North Caucasian Federal District. Colonel reserve officer.
Duties since January, 2012:
Coordinates work of federal executive authorities, gives them instructions on questions:
- developments and implementations of state policy in the field of complex social and economic development of subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District;
- state regulation in the field of distribution and providing financial aid from the federal budget to budgets of other levels of subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District, control of its implementation;
- implementations of the state investment projects, increases in effectiveness of budgeted expenses in subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District;
- increases in investment attractiveness of subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District, development of cost-efficient infrastructure facilities.
On May 7, 2018 the Government of the Russian Federation resigned, before formation of the new government Khloponin continued to fulfill duties of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. Was not a part of the new government.
