Biography

Konstantin Ernst was born in family of the biologist, the German origin Lev Konstantinovich of Ernst (a sort. January 8, 1929; doctor of agricultural sciences (1969), professor (1970), academician of VASHNIL (1975) and vice president of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences).

Education

Left secondary school No. 35 in Leningrad. In 1983 graduated from biological faculty of the Leningrad university. Worked at research institutes. In 25 years defended the master's thesis on biochemistry.

Television

• In 1988 — 1990 worked at Channel One in the Look program.
• In 1991 — 1995 — the author, the leader, the director and the producer of the television Matador program. Implemented many successful projects among which there is a musical full-length film "Radio of Silence" (1988, the director, the producer), the short feature film "Homo Duplex" (1989, the director, the producer).
• In 1995 it is appointed to a position of the general producer of ORT.
• In 1995 together with Denis Yevstigneyev — the author and the producer of the first part of "The Russian project" (the prize "Gold Olive" at the International festival of television programs in the city of Bars). In 1995 — 1997 acted as the author and the producer of musicals "Old songs about the main thing — 1, 2, 3" (the prize "Gold Olive" at the International festival in. • Producer of television series "Waiting room" (1998). The co-producer of feature films "Post" (the prize "Golden rose" for the best movie of 1999 at the X Open Russian film festival to Sochi, "The crystal globe" for the best direction of the XXXIV MICROFARAD in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), the prize "Vesuvius" for the best movie of 1999 of MKF in Naples, the prize "Silver Dolphin" for the best direction of the XV MICROFARAD in Troy) and Mother (a prize for the best actor's ensemble of the X Open Russian film festival in Sochi).

• In 2000 Konstantin Ernst produced four series: "Destructive power-2", "Stop on Demand", "Empire Is Open to Attack" and "Border. The taiga novel" and also traditionally acted as the producer and the author of the idea of the New Year's project of the 1st channel (2000 — 2001) "Old songs about the main thing. Postscript".

• The certificate of honor of the President of the Russian Federation (on December 9, 2009) — for active participation in preparation and behavior of tender of the variety Eurovision-2009 song in the city of Moscow
• The Order of Friendship (South Ossetia, on December 25, 2008) — for unbiased interpretation of events in the period of the armed aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia in August, 2008
• The winner of the award "TEFI" in the "For the Best Producer Work" nomination ("Old songs about the main thing-3").

• In 1999 Konstantin Ernst won "A prize of the press" of the First open Russian competition of the advertizing "For an Outstanding Example of Social Advertising of the Last Years" and a prize of the Reklama magazine.
• In 2000 Konstantin Ernst as the producer won a prize of the Russian academy of television of Taffy for series "Destructive power" in the "Television Art/game Series" nomination. Same year one of series of Destructive power was awarded the prize "Gold Olive" at the International television festival in the city of Bars.
• B was awarded 2007 with the anti-award "Paragraph" in the Honourable Bezgramota nomination with a formulation "as to the physical embodiment of the biggest rating share of the television besoting the ordinary person who is tearing off it from the book and reading from any manifestation of culture".
• Since 2008 — the member of the board of trustees of the Higher school of television of MSU.
• B was awarded 2009 with the prize "Person of Year of GQ" in the Producer of Year nomination and also as the person who gained the largest total number of votes.
