Education

In 2002 he graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Economics.

Career

2000-2007

From 2000 to 2003 he worked in the following companies: Shell Gas & Power, Shell Kazakhstan , Brunswick UBS Warburg Corporation Kazakhmys and TengizChevroil (Atyrau, Kazakhstan).

Until 2007, he worked as a leading specialist in the business development department of Lukoil Overseas. In the same year, he headed the investment department of the Moscow branch of Deutsche Bank.

2015

In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank.

2024: Appointment as Head of ICD

On November 27, 2024, the press service of the Moscow Credit Bank (MKB) announced the appointment of Maxim Korzhov as the new head of the credit institution. In this post, he replaced Nikolai Katorzhnov, who headed the bank since June 2022.

According to a Frank Media source, Nikolai Katorzhnov "decided to leave the ICD of his own free will, he will be replaced by one of the current leaders of the bank."

Nikolai Katorzhnov will continue to work at the ICD as an adviser on issues related to the development of international business and foreign economic activity, they added.

Before heading the ICD, Maxim Korzhov worked at the bank as deputy chairman of the board. He oversaw interactions with corporate clients.[1]
