Biography
Dmitry Nikolaevich Kozak was born on November 7, 1958 in the village of Bandurovo, Gayvoronsky district, Kirovograd region (Ukrainian SSR).
2004: Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District
In 2004-2007 - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District.
2007: Minister of Regional Development
In 2007-2008 - Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation.
2008: Deputy Prime Minister
On October 14, 2008, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
Since January 2012, he has been coordinating the work of federal executive bodies, giving them instructions on the following issues:
- state policy in the field of socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation;
- development of federal targeted regional development programs, implementation of measures aimed at reducing differences in the level of socio-economic development of regions, creation and functioning of free economic zones, provision of state support at the expense of the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation;
- formation, in accordance with the priorities of the state socio-economic policy, of a system of goals, objectives and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation;
- delimitation of powers between federal state authorities, state authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies and ensuring consistency of their activities;
- implementation of state national policy, improvement of organizational and legal foundations of national relations;
- preparation for the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi;
- development of physical education and sports;
- state policy in the field of construction and architecture, housing and communal services.
May 21, 2012 appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
On May 18, 2018, he was again appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
January 21, 2020 - relieved of his post in connection with the resignation of the Government of the Russian Federation.
2025: Dismissal of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation
