At the end of May 2022, the departure of Sergei Kozlov from the post of Minister of Health of the Tver Region was announced. His deputy, Ksenya Abramova, has been appointed the new head of the department. What is the reason for the change of leadership of the Tver Ministry of Health is not specified.

After leaving the post of head of the Ministry of Health of the Tver Region, Sergei Kozlov became the chief physician of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Tver.

There is little information about Ksenia Abramova in the public domain. It is known that she was also an assistant in the department of hospital therapy at the Tver Medical Academy. There is no information about when Abramova took over as Deputy Minister of Health of the region.

According to the publication "All Tver," for the period when the regional Ministry of Health was headed by Sergei Kozlov, the most difficult part of the pandemic fell. coronavirus COVID-19 It was he who had to fight its spread, redesign the medical institutions of the region under a covid profile and organize their work. In fact, Sergei Kozlov at the regional level performed the function of a project manager in the field of combating covid and coped with his task perfectly.

When the infection rate began to decline, he decided to return to his previous duties as the head physician of the OKB. By the way, the regional hospital also acquired its current modern look under Kozlov. The doctors of the OKB said in personal conversations that they were waiting for his return, according to the publication of the portal.[1]

2023: Appointment as Minister of Health of the Tver Region

In August 2023, Ksenia Abramova was appointed the new head of the Ministry of Health of the Tver Region. The corresponding order was signed by the governor of the region Igor Rudenya.

Dmitry Berezin, who previously held the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Tver Region - Minister of Health of the Tver Region, left the post of his own free will, the press service of the regional government said on August 7, 2023. At the same time, his new place of work is not called.

Also, nothing is said about the reasons for the change of leadership of the Tver Ministry of Health. At the same time, the resignation of Dmitry Berezin from the post of head became known a few days after the regional government discussed the implementation of the national project "Healthcare." According to the publication "Tverskiye Vedomosti," one of the main problems of regional medicine is the lack of qualified personnel. The worst situation is in medical institutions in Bologoe and Likhoslavl.

The regional prosecutor Sergei Lezhnikov drew attention to the circumstances that for some reason were not voiced in the report on the implementation of the national project. By August 2023, two children's clinics are being built in Kimry, another clinic is being built in Torzhok and Tver. According to the prosecutor, the deadlines for the delivery of objects are constantly postponed, while "customers nod at the builders, they blame the examination for everything, and you will not find who is to blame."

Igor Rudenya supported the prosecutor that it was time to abandon the complacent attitude towards those who do not fulfill the deadlines stated in the contracts.

The head of the region instructed to develop a system of criteria for assessing the effectiveness of medical institutions and chief doctors by the end of September. By August 2023, almost all chief doctors of large medical institutions were transferred to fixed-term labor contracts. Those who do not cope with their duties will not be extended the contract for the next year, the newspaper notes.[2]
