Biography
Manish Kumar joined SOLIDWORKS in 1998 as a software developer. He has made key contributions to the early development of SOLIDWORKS in various areas, such as file conversion, surface work, modeling, sketching, assembly work, and the creation of modules for welding, sheet metal, and drawings. He also led the development of 3DExperience in the SOLIDWORKS research and development department and was an important participant in the transformation that brought SOLIDWORKS on a steady path to creating a "future design."
2022: Director General of SolidWorks
Dassault Systemes on February 21, 2022 announced changes in the company's leadership structure. Jean Paolo Bassi, who served seven years as CEO of SOLIDWORKS, will lead the 3DEXPERIENCE Works cloud development team as executive vice president. Manish Kumar, who has been in charge of SOLIDWORKS research and development since 2018, will take over as CEO of SOLIDWORKS in addition to his current duties.
