At the end of January 2023, journalists told the story of 17-year-old Vladimir Larionov, who from the age of two he constantly lives in the nephrology department of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Children's Hospital.

The teenager looks younger than his age, which the attending physician Lada Popova explains with a bunch of diseases that prevent the young man from fully developing. In April 2023, he will turn 18 years old, and he will have to leave the walls of the hospital, which he considers his second home, writes the publication NGS24.RU.

When the boy was born, doctors discovered several congenital pathologies in him at once. The child, starting from infancy, underwent many operations and spent almost his entire life in hospitals.

The boy, as an orphan, is given a personal apartment from the state, he receives payments that are not wasted, but postponed for future needs. The only thing the family lacks is an assistant driver who, after coming of age, would be able to regularly take the boy for hemodialysis and, if necessary, to the Kansky district hospital.

I have many friends and acquaintances, but it's still hard to think about the future. I would like to stay in Krasnoyarsk, but so far there is no such opportunity, - said Vladimir Larionov.

Vladimir Larionov, according to local journalists, was born into a dysfunctional family. His relatives - grandmother and sister - do not help the boy financially and do not come to his hospital. The child had to constantly live in a medical facility after the sister, having reached adulthood, issued guardianship over him. However, the sister does not have the opportunity to take care of her sick brother on her own - by January 2023, she is a single mother with two children.[1]
