2020: Failure to leave inheritance to children

At the end of February, 2020 Laurene Powell Jobs reported that she does not intend to leave to the children in inheritance which remained after the death of the husband Steve Jobs.

I do not want to leave to children a status in inheritance, and they know it. And Steve of it did not want. This status will end together with my life — she said in an interview to the The New York Times edition.

By words Lauren Powell Jobs, she considers wrong to accumulate huge wealth in hands of one family as it was done Rokfellera in the 19th century. She inherited the from the husband who also did not set before himself the purpose to grow rich. Now, according to the woman, she using charitable work tries to dispose of the inherited fortune so that it brought as much as possible benefit to poor people.

Lauren Powell Jobs also expressed opinion that the situation when the small group of people controls a considerable amount of money, "is wrong and unfair"

According to the edition Bloomberg, by the end of February, 2020 the fortune of the widow of the founder of Apple is made by about $24 billion. The woman holds the 38th place in the rating of the richest people of the planet. In defects with Steve at  it  was born three children —  the son Read and also  daughters Erin and Eve.

Lauren Powell Jobs founded Emerson Collective charitable organization which invests money in educational and cultural projects. In an interview she told that she in the memory of the died spouse is engaged in the charitable and social projects directed including on reduction of social inequality.

Also Steve Jobs's widow is an inveterate collector of works of art, has several houses near the gulf and owns the Venus megayacht which construction was ordered still by Steve Jobs.^[1]
