On May 24, 2022, Bashneft announced the appointment of Andrei Lazeev as the new CEO of the company. He replaced Hassan Tatriev, who in March 2022 was included in the British sanctions list.
As explained in Bashneft, the decision to appoint Lazeev was made in accordance with the company's policy on planned personnel rotation aimed at improving the efficiency of corporate governance.[1]
