Liza Suu received degrees of the bachelor, the master and the doctor on electrical equipment at the Massachusetts technology university.
Biography
1995
In February, 1995 Liza Suu began work in IBM, having researched in the field of the physicist of the device. Then she was appointed the vice president of the center of a research and developments of semiconductor technologies.
2002
In 2002 Liza Suu was a part of 100 best young innovators according to the MIT Technology Review magazine.
2007-2011
In June, 2018 Liza Suu passed from IBM into Freescale Semiconductor and received a position of the technical director and head of research and development in this company. After a while she headed division of network and multimedia products and also began to be responsible for development of global strategy, marketing and engineering work in business on release of the built-in communication solutions and processors of applications. In Freescale worked till 2011. During this time it replaced several positions, including headed network division of the company.
2012-2014
In 2012 Liza Suu was leadership team of AMD, and in October of the 2014th she became the president and the CEO of the company.
2018: A family relation with the head of Nvidia
In June, 2018 it became known of a family relation of the CEOs of the competing companies Nvidia and AMD. It turned out that the heading Nvidia Jensen Huang is necessary the CEO of AMD Liza Suu the cousin uncle.
As the Taiwan website cw.com.tw reported, 48-year-old Suu's grandfather is necessary the brother of mother of 55-year-old Jensen Huanga. Information on relationship of top managers then appeared on Liza Suu's page in "Wikipedia" (the section of Personal Life).
It is noted that Jensen Huang and Liza Suu were born on Taiwan, are citizens of the USA and graduates of faculty of electrical equipment in technical colleges of the USA. The head of Nvidia received the master's degree at Stanford University, and the head of AMD — doctor's degree on electrical equipment at the Massachusetts technology university.[1]
