2024: Transfer of 895 thousand rubles to telephone fraudsters
On February 15, 2024, it became known about telephone fraud, from which the famous opera singer Liubov Kazarnovskaya suffered. Swindlers lured 895 thousand rubles from her.
According to the Telegram channel Shot, initially the artist was informed from her colleague's account that the personal data came to the scammers, so the special services should call Kazarnovskaya. After some time, the singer received a call from a man who introduced himself as a major of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation. He stated that money was stolen from the account of the opera diva, which was then sent to the account of the Ukrainian terrorist. He is allegedly on the federal wanted list.
Liubov Kazarnovskaya was offered to cooperate so as not to disgrace their name. To do this, she had to go to the bank's office, withdraw the money and send it to "safe accounts." Kazarnovskaya followed the instructions, and then found out that her colleague's account had been hacked all this time. Then the 67-year-old artist realized that she had become a victim of fraudsters and turned to the police.
Liubov Kazarnovskaya was a member of the jury of the Eurovision Song Contest and the show "One to One!" on Channel One. In addition, she performed on the stages of the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Milan theater La Scala[1]
