2022: Wanted list after female employees' suicides

Former senior nurse of the Surgut Clinical Trauma Hospital (KTB) Olga Matveychuk, accused of bringing two subordinates to suicide, was put on the federal wanted list. This was announced on September 18, 2022 by the Action trade union. According to the organization, she was going to leave Surgut and was "removed" from the plane when trying to take off.

The very fact that law enforcement agencies are taking measures so that the suspect does not leave the city is at least a sign that the investigation is seriously engaged in this issue, "said Andrei Konoval, co-chairman of the Action Interregional Trade Union of Health Workers.

The trade union also said that one of the colleagues of the victims - nurse Olesya Gubanova - headed the cell of the Action trade union in the Surgut KTB and sent data to law enforcement agencies that expired consumables were used in the medical facility. The medical unit "did not meet the requirements of the sanitary and epidemiological regime when providing medical care and conducting medical interventions in the health of patients, including young and newborn children, which caused infectious diseases of patients, possibly with a fatal outcome."

In 2021, two nurses who worked under the leadership of Olga Matveychuk committed suicide. In October, 49-year-old Ayazhan Tashmagabetova was found dead at home, whose husband said that the head nurse had repeatedly publicly humiliated her subordinates, did not allow "covid" (COVID-19) payments, and prevented a salary increase. A criminal case was initiated under the article "bringing to suicide."

Two months later, another nurse of the department, Iraida Petrova, took her own life. After that, the hospital was checked, but the Department of Health of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug did not find a connection between the death of nurses and the action of the management of the medical institution.[1]
