Michael Romanus received the master's degree in the field of electrical equipment in the University of Southern California.
Biography
By the beginning of 2018 Michael Romanus worked in 3M more than 30 years. During this time it replaced several executive positions, including managed production division of the company and was a development director of strategy.
2017
In July, 2017 3M appointed Michael Romanus the operating officer and the executive vice president therefore he began to supervise the international business and five divisions of the company.
2018: Appointment as Chapter 3M
In March, 2018 the American production company 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company) announced Michael Romanus's appointment to the CEO's post. He will head the company one and a half years later after became the operating officer.
Michael Romanus will release from a duty of the CEO Inge Thulin which will remain in 3M at specially created position of the executive chairman of the board of directors. Staff changes will become effective on July 1, 2018.
According to 64-year-old Tulin, Roman has "excellent experience in increasing sales, increase in operational efficiency and value addition of a broad spectrum of the global companies".
Under the direction of Inge Tulina which began in February, 2012 stocks 3M rose in price for 165% by the beginning of March of the 2018th whereas the index of Standard & Poor's 500 which the company treats increased by 102%. The analyst from Melius Research Scott Davis called Tulin "very practical and recognized" the leader.
Michael Romanus intends to save dynamics of revenue growth and business which his predecessor on a post of the CEO 3M achieved. Inge Tulin which headed Board of Directors and will save this post after leaving from a position of the head of the company, will help Romanus with implementation of "long-term strategic initiatives", says 3M.
3M will benefit from the fact that two strong leaders will manage the company — the independent leading director of council 3M Mike Eskew said.[1] |
