2019: Appointment as the CEO DXC Technology
On September 11, 2019 the DXC Technology company which is the owner of Luxoft, announced resignation of the CEO and president of the company Mike Lawrie. He gave way to the former top manager of Accenture Mike Salvino.
Until the end of 2019 Lawrie will remain the chairman of the board of directors of DXC and will help the new head with adaptation to work.
Mike Lawrie explained the resignation with "the accelerated shift" which is observed in the market and also importance of "transition of DXC to growth".
For last year we with Board of Directors worked on succession planning process. We carried out this methodical search of my successor, having considered including internal and external candidates. We focused on the head who showed growth of large service companies — Lawrie reported. |
Before heading DXC, Mike Salvino headed division of Accenture Operations with number of staff in 100 thousand people. In May, 2019 he joined the board of DXC.
Salvino also worked in private investment company Carrick Capital as the managing director where his portfolio company was concentrated on IT services, including security, outsourcing business processes and machine learning.
Having addressed investors on the occasion of appointment to the post of the CEO DXC Salvino said that will take the "fighting notebook" to apply the learned lessons to the new work.
According to Salvino, from the point of view of people he is concentrated on involvement of the best specialists for customer service and also on career development and personal development. He promised to create an environment which recognizes and rewards employees and also to help clients with digital transformation.[1]
