Born May 3, 1975 in Moscow.
Education
In 1996 he graduated from the Russian Academy of Economics. G.V. Plekhanov with a degree in economist-mathematician, in 2001 - the diplomatic academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with a degree in world economy and international economic relations.
Career
Since 2002, he worked in various senior positions at Prominvest LLC (formerly called Oboronimpex, part of the group of companies of the state corporation Rostekhnologii).
Since 2005, the first deputy general director is the executive director of Prominvest.
Since 2006, a member of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-Avisma Corporation OJSC.
Since March 2009, President, since July - General Director of VSMPO-Avisma.
2020: Criminal case
In August 2020, investigators opened a criminal case against the former general director of the VSMPO-Avisma corporation, Mikhail Voevodin, who left his post ahead of schedule in early May.
2022: Sanctions in Ukraine
On November 22, 2022, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (SBI) announced searches at the VS Energy office, among whose shareholders were Yevgeny Giner and the former head of the VSMPO-Avisma corporation, which supplied titanium to Boeing and Airbus, Mikhail Voevodin. According to RBC-Ukraine, the company occupies 10% of the Ukrainian energy market.
Back in May 2022, VS Energy announced that Giner and Voevodin had nothing to do with Ukrainian firms. By decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, sanctions were imposed against entrepreneurs. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in October 2022.
2025: Arrest in major fraud case
The decision of the Dorogomilovsky District Court of the city Moscow granted the petition of the preliminary investigation bodies to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention against the former head of PJSC Corporation VSMPO-AVISMA Voevodin Mikhail Viktorovich in the case of large-scale fraud for a period of 1 month 30 days. This was reported in June 2025 in Telegram the channel of courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow. This is not the first criminal case that is being considered against Voevodin.[1]
