2024: Victim of phone scammers

On June 11, 2024, it became known that actor Mikhail Gorsky, known for his role in the popular TV series Soldiers, was the victim of telephone scammers who convinced him to transfer all his savings to a "safe" account. This was announced by the Telegram channel "Baza."

According to the channel, the incident occurred on June 6, 2024. Mikhail Gorsky in Telegram wrote an allegedly acquaintance, saying that in the theater where he works, there was a data leak. After some time, the actor received a call from "representatives of the power structure," who said that the scammers were trying to withdraw money from his account.

Then Mikhail received a call from a "bank employee" who suggested that he freeze all accounts and transfer money to a "safe" account to protect them. The actor, unaware of the deception, followed all the instructions of the scammers.

According to "Baza," Gorskaya only a few hours later realized that he had been deceived and turned to the police. Fraudsters managed to withdraw all the money from the actor's account. By June 12, 2024, Mikhail Gorsky is 47 years old, he is known for his roles in such projects as "Capercaillie," "Ordinary Woman," "Sea Devils," "Miracle Worker" and others.

Similar cases of fraud are becoming more common, according to cybersecurity experts. Attackers use various tricks to mislead victims and take possession of their funds.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds of the need to be vigilant and careful when communicating with strangers on the phone or on the Internet. It is important to remember that the security of funds depends on prudence and timely verification of information, they say in the department.^[1]
