2024: Appointment as CEO of Moskino

At the end of January 2024, it became known about the appointment of Igor Mikhailyuk as the new general director of the Moscow Cinema state budgetary institution (Moskino), an organization in the structure of the Department of Culture that oversees the development of city cinemas, filming in Moscow and other citywide film projects (Cinema Night, summer cinemas, screenings from Kinoprevizhka, etc.).

Mikhailyuk headed Moskino instead of Natalia Mokritskaya, who led the organization since October 2020. It is clarified that the new general director took office in December 2023. The reason for the change of the head of the institution is not called.

Before Mokritskaya joined Moskino in 2020, Mikhailyuk also acted as general director of the institution for some time when Svetlana Maksimchenko left this post.

Mokritskaya has been working in the film business since 1993. Since 2005, she served as general director and general producer of the New People film company. She has produced several notable films including "Draft," "The Battle of Sevastopol," "Correction Class," "Portraying the Victim."

Moskino supports modern Russian cinema (rental, provision of venues for prime ministers and pre-screenings, meetings with directors and film crews) and updating the cultural heritage in the field of domestic cinema (retrospective and film clubs, special screenings for memorable dates), supports significant Moscow film festivals and organizes its own film events.

Moskino is the main operator for organizing the annual all-Russian action "Night of the Cinema" in the city of Moscow.[1]
