Biography

2022: Charge of pedophilia

In mid-February 2022, a Meta employee was caught pedophilia - a man was caught red-handed in a hotel room. He confessed to sending sexually explicit messages to a man whom he considered a minor boy.

The head of community development at Meta, Jeren Miles, was filmed by a group of anti-pedophile activists discussing alleged sexually explicit messages with a man who called himself a 13-year-old boy. Miles planned to meet the teenager at the hotel. A Meta spokesman confirmed to the Daily Caller that the person was an employee of the company, but Miles was suspended due to the situation.

Jeren Miles admitted to flirting with the guy, but denied his intentions to meet him. However, Miles later admitted that he had arranged to meet with a man whom he considered an underage boy, telling a group of anti-pedophile activists Predator Catchers Indianapolis that he had given information and indicated the place of the meeting. Later it became known that Jeren Miles quit Meta, and the man also deleted all his pages from social networks.

In the USA, where such crimes are considered the most serious, the punishment for molestation of minors, of course, depends on many factors depending on the age of the victim, for example, or on the circumstances in which the crime occurred. One way or another, but pedophiles most often face an impressive prison term of up to several life sentences, and may use chemical castration if the crime is committed again. After leaving prison, pedophiles actually become outcasts in society: they are not just entered into a special register, and information about them is published on special sites, they are often forbidden to live not only near schools and kindergartens, but even in houses next to families where there are children.[1]
