In February 2024, Javier Miley made visits to Israel, Rome and the Vatican.
On the first day of the trip, the President of Argentina (which is constitutionally a Catholic country) almost with tears publicly prayed at the Western Wall, accompanied by rabbis, then read the Torah. On the final evening, Miley again appeared at the Western Wall, accompanied by members of the Chabad Lubavitch, but this time staged dances there, dragging the crowd along.
The subsequent meeting between the President of Argentina and the Pope, accompanied by hugs and requests to forgive Miley's former insults to the pontiff (which he, of course, did), looked ironic. As well as the fact that on Sunday the Jew Javier Miley took communion in St. Peter's Cathedral and took part in the canonization of the Argentine blessed.
