Criminal case
In February 2015, the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee completed an investigation into a criminal case of fraud, in which the ex-general director of one of Voentelecom's subsidiaries , 403 Central Communications Repair Plant (CRZSS) Alexander Morozov, appears. Mirozov's accomplice in the case is the owner of the Ibis company Igor Dudin. According to the investigation, together they organized a collection of formally disposed special communications equipment in military units, after which they purchased it at auctions for budget funds through companies controlled by them.
In 2011-2012 The Ministry of Defense concluded state contracts with Voentelecom for the purchase of tools, accessories for communications equipment, spare parts, as well as for service and repair, and under the guise of new products, intermediaries purchased equipment previously decommissioned from different military units. Thus, the state suffered damage totaling 660 million rubles, the investigation determined.
It is reported that after studying the prosecutor's office, the materials of the Morozov case should be transferred to court.
According to investigators, the scheme for the sale of recycled equipment was invented in 2011 by the former head of Voentelecom Nikolai Tamodin. In March 2015, an indictment in a fraud case was approved against him.
Another participant in the criminal scheme is the former general director of the Mytishchi branch of Voentelecom - 22 experimental communications plants. Andrei Shcherbakov, in January 2015, was already found guilty and sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and a fine. In the case of the episode in which Tamodin and Shcherbakov appear, the amount of damage to the Ministry of Defense amounted to more than 700 million rubles.
