Sergey Ivanovich Morozov (sort. On September 6, 1959 in Ulyanovsk) — the Russian statesman, the governor of the Ulyanovsk region since 2006.
Biography
- After the termination of high school worked as the machine operator at furniture factory. served 1977 — 1980 on the Pacific fleet. After military service worked as the mechanic in the Ulyanovsk motor transportation enterprise, then — the driver.
- Since 1981 — in law-enforcement bodies. Graduated from All-Union Legal Correspondence Institute majoring in "jurisprudence". There passed the way from the inspector of criminal investigation department of the District Department of Internal Affairs to the head of special forces of the ATC of the Ulyanovsk region on fight against drug trafficking.
- 1995 — it is appointed the chief of the ATC of the city of Dimitrovgrad.
2000: Mayor of Dimitrovgrad
- in December, 2000 — it is elected the mayor of Dimitrovgrad.
2004: Head of administration of the Ulyanovsk region
- On December 26, 2004 — it is elected the head of administration of the Ulyanovsk region ([1]).
2006: Governor of the Ulyanovsk region
- On March 20, 2006 Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted Sergey Morozov's candidacy for consideration of deputies of Regional Legislative Assembly Ulyanovsk region for investment with its powers of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region.
- On March 28, 2006 deputies approved the candidate for governor of the Ulyanovsk region.
- On February 28, 2011 the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, according to the offer of the United Russia Party, submitted for consideration of Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov's candidacy for investment with its powers of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region.
- On March 6, 2011 deputies approved the candidacy on a post of the Governor of the region at an emergency meeting.
- On September 18, 2016 a popular vote it is again elected the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region.
