At the same time, in violation of the requirements of the Ministry of Health, the medical center did not have the necessary conditions for such operations. In particular, the institution did not have a license to provide medical care for the artificial termination of pregnancy, as well as anesthesiology and resuscitation; the medical center did not organize conditions for the provision of specialized medical care, including resuscitation procedures; The rooms of the operating room, manipulation, anti-shock, pre-shock chambers, the awakening chamber, a specially equipped patient place for the prevention and treatment of pain and pain during medical interventions are not equipped.
Despite the fact that the defendants, having special knowledge of possible complications during abortion operations and the lack of conditions for stopping complications and acute conditions of patients in the medical center, provided such services that did not meet safety requirements, the ICR reported.
In total, from 2019 to 2021, the defendants performed more than 40 abortion operations in conditions that do not meet safety requirements. In October 2021, the defendants performed a surgical abortion operation at the medical center. During the operation, doctors allowed perforation of the wall of the uterus, as well as the small intestine. Despite the patient's complaints, she was not provided with the necessary assistance. As a result of defects in the provision of medical care, the girl's health was seriously harmed, her life was saved only thanks to qualified medical care in the inpatient conditions of another medical institution.[1]
