Biography

Born October 21, 1955 in the Pskov Region, Russia.

Education

1978 - graduated from the Kommunarsky Mining and Metallurgical Institute (Faculty of Engineering and Economics with a degree in Economics and Construction Organization) with the qualification of Engineer-Economist.

Academic title

Since 1999 - Associate Professor of the Department of Social Management of the Yamal Oil and Gas Institute (branch) of the Tyumen State Oil and Gas University.

Career

1978-1980 - worked as a labor technician in the laboratory of a scientific labor organization, then as an economist in the planning and economic department of the capital construction department of the Kommunarsky Metallurgical Plant.

1980 - Senior Inspector of the City Executive Committee of Novy Urengoy, Tyumen Region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

1988 - Chairman of the city planning commission, then - Deputy Chairman of the city executive committee, deputy of the City Council.

1992 - First Deputy Head of the Administration of Novy Urengoy.

1994 - Head of the city administration of Novy Urengoy.

1994 - Deputy of the State Duma of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and deputy of the City Assembly of Novy Urengoy.

2015: Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra

On February 27, 2015, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, she was appointed Acting Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra.

On September 13, 2015, she was elected and took office as Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra.

2024: Resignation as Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug

At the end of May 2024, the governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra Natalya Komarova - the only female governor  in Russia - resigned . Komarova added that she decided to move to another job.

Social activities

December 9, 2010 - took part in the official opening ceremony of the 15th district exhibition-fair "Goods of the land of Ugra," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Autonomous Okrug[3]

April 13, 2012 - Takes part in the fifth Russian-German raw materials forum in Nuremberg, Germany. On the eve of Natalya Komarova made a report at the plenary session, which is devoted to the areas of international cooperation in the development of the fuel and energy complex of Ugra[4].

May 1, 2012 - took part in the student May Day "Hardworking Anthill" on the territory of the Khanty-Mansiysk Technological and Pedagogical College. At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the region congratulated those gathered on the Day of Spring and Labor and, together with the assets of students, according to one of the traditions of the college, tied a ribbon "for good luck" on the "Tree of Desires."[5].

May 30, 2012 - Takes part in the holiday "Kaleidoscope of Childhood" in Pokachi, dedicated to the International Day for the Protection of Children. The Governor also took part in the youth flash mob action "Learning to Live on Earth"[6] in the[6]

September 27, 2012 - took part in the opening ceremony of the III Interregional Agro-Industrial Exhibition of the Ural Federal District[7].

October 9, 2012 - Attends the 26th International Exhibition and Conference on Natural Gas, Natural Liquefied Gas and Petroleum Gas GASTECH-2012 in London. As part of the event, the "Day of Russia" was held, where at the plenary session "The Role of Russia in Ensuring the Energy Security of the World Economy," the head of the region made a report "Oil Gas in the Structure of the Energy of the Russian Federation"[8].

November 16, 2012 - attends a specialized exhibition held within the framework of the Education of Ugra-2012 forum in Khanty-Mansiysk. The key theme of the project is "Professional orientation as an instrument of life self-determination of youth"[9] of[9]

January 30, 2013 - took part in the day of entrepreneurial initiative of indigenous minorities of the north of Berezovsky district[10].

April 2, 2013 - took part in the literary and musical living room "Souls silver spring," which was held in the children's library of the urban settlement Oktyabrskoye and was timed to coincide with the International Day of Children's Books and the 35th anniversary of the formation of the district centralized library system of the Oktyabrsky district. During the event, Natalya Komarova examined the exhibition of decorative and applied creativity "Meeting of different cultures"[11].
