2018
She worked as a midwife, senior nurse of the City Clinical Hospital No. 7, deputy chief physician of the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital, director of the Republican Center for Advanced Training and Professional Retraining of Healthcare Specialists. Since 2018, she headed the Republican Medical College.
2022
Natalya Yakimova became Deputy Minister of Health of Udmurtia in February 2022, and in August of the same year she took the post of acting head of the department.
2023: House arrest
On December 9, 2023, the Industrial District Court of Izhevsk sent Natalya Yakimova under house arrest. The ex-head of the Ministry of Health of Udmurtia is accused of abuse of office (part 2 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), from August 2022 to September 2023, the official ensured the conclusion of more than 2.3 thousand state contracts for the supply of medical equipment and medicines with companies controlled by her acquaintance in the amount of over 1 billion rubles. In the message of the TFR, the name of the suspect was not named, but the Udmurt Ministry of Health clarified that we are talking about Yakimova.

During the investigation, searches were carried out and documentation was seized. Yakimova will remain under house arrest for at least two months - until February 7, 2024.
