2022: Elected President of Slovenia
On November 14, 2022, it became known that the non-partisan politician Natasha Pirc-Musar (Nataša Pirc Musar), a 54-year-old lawyer and civil activist, won the presidential election in Slovenia. She will become the first woman in the republic as head of state.
According to the results of counting 99.99% of all ballots, Pirc-Musar received 53.86% of the vote. Her rival, 46-year-old Anzhe Logar, a representative of the Slovenian Democratic Party and a former foreign minister, won 46.14% of the vote. The turnout was 53%. Natasha Pirtz-Musar will take office on December 23, 2022, when the term of incumbent President Borut Pahor expires.
