2022: Federal wanted list in illegal abortion case

At the end of November 2022, it became known about the announcement on the federal wanted list of the director of the Diagnostics medical center in Chita (Trans-Baikal Territory) Margarita Nikitina. She is in the case of illegal abortions.

According to the Telegram channel "Yurapteka" with reference to the materials of the case, Margarita Nikitina did not reissue the license giving the right to the medical center "Diagnostics" to conduct "artificial termination of pregnancy by the drug method and the method of electric vacuum aspiration."

Nevertheless, in 2019-2021, midwife Natalya Saprygina and anaesthesiologist Nadezhda Tetereva (in collusion with Nikitina) performed illegal abortions on 24 women, putting their lives and health at risk. According to the investigation, doctors, for example, gave patients special pills for home use on the day of their appeal - without receiving test results.

In the case of the 25th patient, the actions of doctors led to perforation of the uterus and wound of the small intestine, which qualifies as serious harm to health. According to the case file, the total income of the medical center from illegal services exceeded 300 thousand rubles.

A criminal case was opened against Saprygina and Tetereva under Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, including those that entailed serious harm to human health), now it has been transferred to the Central District Court of Chita. Materials in relation to the director of the medical center Margarita Nikitina were separated into a separate proceeding, she is charged with Art. 235 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal implementation of medical activities).

LLC Novikom"" (legal entity "Diagnostics") was registered in September 2016 in Chita. By the end of November 2022, the company belongs to Larisa Kalenova and the general director of the organization Margarita Nikitina - each of them has 50%.[1]
