Career

Since December, 2003 Owen-Christopher Kemp got to work as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard in Russia, having saved a position of the vice president of Hewlett-Packard company. Mr. Kemp has 30-year length of service in Hewlett-Packard.

Before merge to Compaq Mr. Kemp headed world division of Hewlett-Packard on sales of financial services and consulting. Besides, he held a post of the area manager on work with customers of the corporate level of Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Owen Kemp came to Hewlett-Packard in 1978 to a position of the area sales manager in the medical industry, and then headed a number of the high-growth directions. So, in 1995-1998 he directed business development of Hewlett-Packard company in Russia.

During this period of Hewlett-Packard considerably expanded the presence in the Russian market, implemented the plan for investments into Russia which received the name "Three Project" and with assistance of Mr. Kemp and Russian team turnovers of Hewlett-Packard in Russia were tripled. Thus, the company took the leading positions in the Russian market, almost by 3 times having bypassed the closest competitor. Under the leadership of Owen Kemp the Hewlett-Packard company opened representations through the whole country and purchased wide network of partners who still are a basis of business of Hewlett-Packard in Russia. Owen Kemp got an education in Great Britain and Austria as "Telecommunication engineer". Now Mr. Kemp is an IT consultant of many large international companies and also participates in the international trainings on IT.
