On February 15, 2017 the Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Artur Parfenchikov the acting as the Governor of Karelia before taking office of the person elected the Governor of Karelia, having relieved Parfenchikov of the post of the director of FSSP of Russia — the Chief Bailiff of Russia.
