Education
He graduated from the military gymnasium named after Jan Zhizhka from Trotsnov in Opava, and then entered the Military Institute of Ground Forces Vishkov. He then completed his postgraduate studies at the Military Academy in Brno.

Peter Pavel was born on November 1, 1961 in Plan (a city in the west of the Czech Republic).
1983-2014
Pyotr Pavel began his military career in 1983 in the Czechoslovak Army. In 1996, he became a military assistant to the Director of Military Intelligence. In Czech Republic December 2002, Pavel received the rank of brigadier general and was appointed commander of the special forces of the Army of the Czech Republic. 2023: Election as Czech President
Army General in Reserve and former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Petr Pavel won the presidential election in the Czech Republic. This was announced at the end of January 2023 by Czech television.
Pavel's opponent was Andrei Babis, a businessman, dollar billionaire and former finance minister. The first round of the presidential elections in the Czech Republic took place on January 13-14, 2023. Then Peter Pavel and Andrei Babish scored almost the same number of votes - 35.4% and 34.99%, respectively. Other candidates included economist, educator and former rector of Mendel University Danushe Nerudova; politician, diplomat, senator and former Czech ambassador to France Pavel Fisher; teacher, scientist, civic activist and senator Marek Gilsher; entrepreneur, economist and mathematician Karel Divish. All of them did not get the required number of votes.
During the second round of the presidential election, held on January 27-28, 2023, Pavel won with 58% of the vote against 42% of Babis. Peter Pavel will take office as president on March 9, 2023, replacing Milos Zeman, who could not be re-elected for a third term.[1]
