In 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad Order of the Red Banner of Labor Institute of Water Transport (since 2012 - the State University of the Navy and River Fleet (GUMRF) named after Admiral S.O. Makarov), specialty - "Economics and Organization of Water Transport."

In 1988 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Institute of National Economy (since 1994 - Ural State University of Economics (UrGEU)), specialty - "Accounting and analysis of economic activities using computers."
