2022: Arrest in bribery case
The Gorno-Altai City Court arrested the former regional head of the Ministry of Health and the chief physician of the Kosh-Agach district hospital Pavel Reshetov, who is accused of taking bribes on an especially large scale (paragraph "c" of part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported on August 7, 2022 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Republic.
According to the investigation, on December 30, 2020, Pavel Reshetov, while working at that time as the director of the republican rehabilitation center for children and adolescents with disabilities, personally received a bribe of at least 400 thousand rubles from the founder of Danart LLC. For this, he had to provide the company, the supplier of medical equipment, with advantages when concluding a state contract for the purchase by the medical organization of two complexes for the rehabilitation of patients with motor pathology.
On the fact of giving a bribe to medical workers, criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of crimes under paragraphs "a," "b," part 4 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official on a large scale, organized by a group). The founder and general director of Dinart LLC, as well as other entrepreneurs involved in the supply and repair of medical equipment, are accused of committing these crimes.
According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Republic, Pavel Reshetov did not admit guilt in the crime incriminated to him. On August 6, 2022, on the basis of the petition of the investigator for particularly important cases of the department for the investigation of especially important cases of the Investigation Department against him, the Gorno-Altai City Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. In relation to other defendants, each of whom gave a confession, a recognizance not to leave was chosen as a preventive measure by the investigator.[1]

Going to the colony for taking a bribe
On March 14, 2023, the Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Republic announced that the court found the former head of the Ministry of Health Pavel Reshetov guilty of taking a bribe on a large scale. He was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
The investigation established that Reshetov received a bribe in the amount of 400 thousand rubles on December 30, 2020, holding the post of director of the budget institution of the Altai Republic "Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities." As part of the case, at the request of the investigator, the court seized the property of the accused (two cars) for a total of approximately 3 million rubles.
The crime was identified and suppressed thanks to the coordinated and effective interaction of the investigating authorities of the regional investigation department and the operational units of the FSB of Russia in the Altai Republic. The accused pleaded guilty to the commission of the incriminated crime in full both at the stage of the preliminary investigation and in court, the law enforcement agencies said in a statement. |
The criminal case was initiated in accordance with paragraph "c" of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe on a large scale). In addition to the prison term, the court imposed a fine of 1.2 million rubles on Reshetov. For four years, he has been prohibited from holding positions related to the exercise of the functions of a representative of power, organizational, administrative and administrative functions in state bodies and local self-government bodies.
It is also noted that the investigation of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a" and "b" of part 4 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official on a large scale organized by a group) against bribes continues.[2]
Bribe givers to ex-minister received deadlines
On November 17, 2023, the Gorno-Altai City Court of the Altai Republic issued a verdict in a criminal case against the founder and general director of Danart.
