Renad was born on December 13, 1941 in Kazan.
In 1965 graduated from Novosibirsk State University.
Since 1987 corresponding member of Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
In 1997 became the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences on department of the general and technical chemistry.
Member of Presidium of RAS and Bureau of Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science.
From 1965 to 1993 worked as the associate director of Institute of chemical kinetics and burning of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science in Novosibirsk.
In 1993 received a position of the director of the International tomographic center Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science (Novosibirsk).
For October 14, 2016 Renad Zinnurovich Sagdeev works as the president of Technopark of the Campus Fund.
