2022: Appointment as Minister of Health of the Moscow Region

On February 7, 2022, Alexei Sapanyuk was appointed the new Minister of Health of the Moscow Region. In this position, he replaced Svetlana Strigunkova, who served as deputy chairman of the Moscow Region government. She will also continue to work in the regional cabinet as the first deputy chairman.

Before heading the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, Alexei Sapanyuk worked in it as deputy minister. In this position, he oversaw the department of organization of drug care, which includes the department of coordination of drug support and the organizational and methodological department of medicine, as well as the department of organization of cancer care.

There is little information about Alexei Sapanyuk from open sources (by February 8, 2022). It is only known that he previously served as deputy chief physician of the Moscow Regional Clinical TB Dispensary, and was also deputy chief physician of the Fryazin Hospital, chief anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the fifth district of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region.
