Biography

Was born on April 8, 1950 in the settlement Red Yaruga of Kursk region (since 1954 - Belgorod).

Stary Oskol prospecting technical school

Graduated from the Stary Oskol prospecting technical school.

Service in the Soviet Army

Served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.

1976: MCXA

In 1976 graduated from the Moscow agricultural academy of K.A. Timiryazev (since 2005 - RGAU-MSHA of K.A.  Timiryazev, the Russian state agricultural university – MSHA of K.A. Timiryazev), received qualification of the erudite agronomist.

Rakityansky collective farm

Began a labor activity in the homeland the chief agronomist of rakityansky collective farm, and then the director of state farm.

1980: Work in the Soviet and party bodies

Since 1980 worked in the Soviet and party bodies of a district and regional link, including the vice-chairman of regional executive committee.

Ministry of Agriculture and Food Production of Russia

Later held a position of the deputy chief of head department of crop production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Russian Federation (since 2000 - the Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation)), worked in structures of HSC of Russia.

1993: Governor of the Belgorod region

In October, 1993 it was appointed, and in December, 1995 and in May, 1999 it is elected the head of administration of the Belgorod region.

In May, 2003 it was elected the governor of the Belgorod region.

On June 16, 2007 according to the offer President of Russia V.V. Putin the Belgorod region duma gave to E.S. Savchenko authority of the governor of the Belgorod region.

On October 14, 2012 and on September 10, 2017 it is elected the Governor of the Belgorod region.

1996: Federation Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

From 1996 to 2001 was a member of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Held a position of the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on agrarian policy.
