2020: 7.5 years of prison and a penalty in the amount of 1.5 million rubles for bribery

On October 12, 2020 the Kanavinsky district court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced Alexander Sazanov to 7.5 years of prison and payment of a penalty in the amount of 1.5 million rubles for bribery.

According to the joint press service of courts of law of the region, the former employee of department of licensing of management of legal, personnel and auditing work of the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Health from 2014 to June, 2017 repeatedly got through the intermediary bribes in the amount of 15 to 70 thousand rubles. Heads of dental clinics when licensing medical activity gave them.

On June 7, 2017 in the evening at an exit from fast food restaurant in Kanavinsky district after receiving a part of the next bribe (20 thousand rubles) illegal acts of the official were stopped by investigators of SK and operational police officers, – specified in investigation department CK RUSSIAN FEDERATION across the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The ex-employee of the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Health Alexander Sazanov is sentenced to 7.5 years of prison for bribes

During court session Alexander Sazanov admitted guilt in commission of crime partially, criminal case was considered in the general order of legal proceedings. The court found him guilty of commission of the crimes provided by Part 2 of Article 290, Part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Sazanov is forbidden to hold positions in public service and in local government authorities, connected with implementation of functions of the authority, and organizational and administrative powers within three years.

Earlier the court pronounced a sentence to Alexander Sazanov's intermediary. She received four years of standard regime penal colony according to Part 2 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Mediation in bribery in a considerable size, for commission of obviously illegal actions") and Part 5 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("The offer of mediation in bribery"). Then execution of a sentence was postponed until achievement of fourteen-year age of her child.^[1]
