Biography

Was born in 1955 in Michurinsk of the Tambov region.

Graduated from philological faculty of the Voronezh State University, FSB Academy;

• From 1982 to 2003 served in bodies of state security, the last position - the deputy head of department of FSB across the Tambov region
• In 2003 it is elected the chairman of the Tambov regional election committee
• Since 2006 - the deputy governor of the Tambov region.

As the first vice governor Alexander Sazonov was responsible for the organization of the public civil service and compensation of government employees, spheres of physical culture and sport, information technologies and communication. Law and order and liquidation of natural disasters and the fires were under its authority fight against crime and terrorism. Alexander Sazonov supervised activity of managements of civil service and organizational work, on security issues and law and order, on physical culture and sport, information technologies, communication and document flow and also administration, legal department, mobilization department and representation of the Tambov region at the Government of the Russian Federation.

In February, 2016 the head of administration of the Tambov region signed the resignation letter of Alexander Sazonov from a post of the first vice governor at own will. Since February 20 the official officially retired.

However, Alexander Aleksandrovich does not deny a possibility of the return to work to regional administration. But to speak about it, according to him, so far early.

In several days deputies of the Tambov region duma approved changes in structure of administration of the Tambov region. Now the head of executive body instead of two first deputies will have only one. This position was abolished for economy of budgetary funds.
