Education

He graduated from the Chelyabinsk State Medical Institute with a degree in medical affairs.

Career

1987

In 1987, he worked as a nurse in the Timiryazev district hospital, after graduation he was trained in clinical residency at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Institute.

2011

In 2011, he was appointed to the post of chief physician of the Regional Perinatal Center, and before that, for 14 years he worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Chelyabinsk City Clinical Hospital No. 10.

2019

On October 11, 2019, he was appointed Minister of Health of the Chelyabinsk Region.

2022: The head of the Ministry of Health of the Chelyabinsk region resigned

In early May 2022, it became known about the resignation of Yuri Semenov from the post of Minister of Health of the Chelyabinsk Region. According to the decision of the head of the region, Semenov resigned of his own free will.

The Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexei Texler thanked Yuri Semenov for the work done during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and wished success in further activities.

From May 4, 2022, Deputy Head of Department Dmitry Tarasov will temporarily act as Minister of Health of the Chelyabinsk Region.

As for the new place of work of Yuri Semenov, he will return to the post of chief doctor of the Regional Perinatal Center.
