Education
In 1987 he entered the Tyumen Industrial Institute. He received a diploma in the specialty "Development and operation of oil and gas fields." He graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Enterprise and Organization Management.
Career
1992-2012
Since 1992, he worked at NGDU Pravdinskneft, OJSC Yuganskneftegaz, as the head of NGDU Mayskneft.
In 2004, he became the head of the oil and gas production department.
Since 2005 - Deputy General Director of Zapadno-Malobalykskoye LLC, then - General Director of Saratovneftegaz OJSC (a subsidiary of Russneft).
Since 2008 - General Director of Gazpromneft-Khantos LLC. In this position, Sergey Byshov worked until February 2012.
2013
As of May 24, 2013, he works as the general director of OAO Oil Joint Stock Company AKI-OTYR (part of the Russneft group).
2024: Appointment as CEO of IC Rusvietpetro
In April 2024, it became known about the appointment of Sergei Byshov as the new general director of SK Rusvietpetro (a joint venture between Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam). He replaced Alexei Kulakov, who had previously headed Rusvietpetro for four years. Previously, Byshov held the post of senior vice president for production and geology at Russneft.
As of April 2024, Rusvietpetro is developing 13 deposits at four licensed blocks of the Central Khoreiver Uplift in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Their reserves in 2016 were estimated at more than 95 million tons (C1 + C2). The company received the West Yareyaginsky site in the same region, the exploration plan of which is calculated until the third quarter of 2025.
