Biography

1966-2022

Gavrikov was born in 1966 in Leningrad. He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Mechanical Engineering and St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. He began his career in 1983 at Izhora Factories as a master, after which he moved to the post of senior master. In 1991, he took the position of head of the section of the Izhora Plants AOT workshop. In 1998, he became the head of the department of power engineering of OJSC Izhorsk Plants. From 2000 to 2005, he held the positions of First Deputy Head of Petrochemical Equipment Production, Head of Welding and Assembly Production, Head of Mechanical Processing Production and Head of Power Engineering Production. In 2007, he was appointed project manager of Izhora Plants OJSC, and in 2009 he became deputy general director for production.

In 2012-2015, Gavrikov held the position of general director of Uralhimmash, after which he worked in senior positions in large engineering companies in the Moscow and Leningrad regions. As noted by the publication "Business Portal DK.RU," since the end of 2022 he headed the Kashirsky Plant of Metal Structures and Boiler Building.

2025: Appointment as CEO of Uralhimmash

On December 1, 2025, Sergey Gavrikov was appointed to the post of general director of one of the largest oil and gas equipment manufacturers in Russia, Uralhimmash (part of the Sinar group). In this position, he replaced Yevgeny Gritsenko, who headed the enterprise since January 2025.

After Gavrikov returned to the post of general director of Uralhimmash, Gritsenko will continue to work in Sinar's group as vice president. Organizational changes were carried out in accordance with the implemented development strategy of the enterprise.[1]
