Education

He graduated from the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute with a degree in Underground Development of Mineral Deposits, as well as the Moscow Mining University with a degree in Geotechnology, candidate of technical sciences.

Career

1998-2013

1998-2013 - Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant JSC, worked as the head of the production and technical department, then deputy chief engineer for mining at the Muruntau mine.

2013-2021

Siberian Anthracite Management Company LLC has worked from the head of the mining department to the executive director.

2022: Appointment as Managing Director of Yakutugol

On December 5, 2022, JSC HC Yakutugol (part of the Mechel group) announced the appointment of Sergei Kolomnikov as the new managing director of the company. In this post, he replaced Valery Gorelnikov, who temporarily combined two positions and remains the head of Yakutsk Ore Company LLC, one of the largest investment projects of the Mechel group.

Before heading Yakutugol, Sergei Kolomnikov was the executive director of Siberian Anthracite Management Company LLC.

Yakutugol is one of the largest coal mining companies in Russia. It combines the sections "Neryungrinsky," "Kangalassky," "Jebariki-Haya," as well as an enrichment plant and service enterprises.^[1]
