The programmer by training, he began to be engaged in development of the analytical systems still in the mid-nineties with the father, the director of the defense plant in Belgorod creating automated control systems for spacecrafts.
From an interview to the edition the Leningrad truth (October, 2011)[1]:
- Our first system was called Erudite. Then began to do the systems of modeling — electoral, economic. In 1999 delivered it in the situational center of the president of Ukraine Kuchma. And in 2001 us the IBS company purchased, there we continued to do the situational centers. The module of the analysis of media, the module of the analysis of an economic situation in the region, the module of the analysis of electoral activity entered into them. Then in 2004 Putin cancelled elections of governors, and this case decayed. IBS carried out restructuring, we displaid these commands — I and the father. Also began to lead parallel existence — he tried to do business cases, and I on bigger degree the analysis of media — Denis tells.
- And when your main product "Semantic Archive" appeared?
- In 2004. We were guided first of all by security services. Because at that moment we considered that, working with security services, we will be interesting to both intelligence agencies, and services of competitive intelligence at once.
Denis says that in the list of clients of his company — the Security Council, the Ministry of Defence, FSB, and in the Ministry of Internal Affairs their system costs in four departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Besides, the company delivers the system to Ukraine, to Belarus (in local Management K of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) and Kazakhstan.
- And regional governments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, probably, too address you? Here before the G8 in St. Petersburg the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs was bought by KRIT.
- Our system was purchased too. Under the Group of Eight summit. The budget was — they and bought.
- How many people work for you?
- About 20 people.
- And how task of observation of blogs? Whether there is priority inversion in this direction?
- Yes, we even developed this year the special module on forums and blogs.
(As programmers explained, the algorithm of actions of staff of intelligence agencies in such products comes down to the fact that a certain number of blogs is hammered into a system, and a system monitors them on different indicators).
- How many in such module can work people?
- Well, tens.
It seems that insufficient power is the main restraining factor for large-scale application of such systems by intelligence agencies. And the size of the systems expected usually work of department (20-25 people) explains why FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs buy tens of the different systems from the different companies. However, there is also one more reason.
