Biography

1999-2019

Sheng-Chiang Chiang joined MSI in 1999 and headed the company in 2019.

2020: Death as a result of falling from the 7th floor

At the beginning of July, 2020 the president and the CEO of MSI Sheng-Chiang Chiang died. Falling from the seventh floor of the headquarters of the company which is placed on Taiwan became a cause of death.

According to the message to the Liberty Times Net edition, after the incident 56-year-old Chiang was quickly taken to the nearest hospital. Soon after that it became known that the businessman died from a head injury. The police of Taiwan continue to be engaged in investigation of death of the top manager of MSI and promise to disclose more details later. From MSI in connection with the tragedy it is said in the official statement that all employees are deeply grieved by Sheng-Chiang Chiang's death. The company undertakes measures for recovery of former functioning of all divisions of MSI.

Being a part of the company more than 20 years, it [Sheng-Chiang Chiang] made an outstanding contribution and causes admiration in colleagues. Mr. Chiang was dear leader in family of MSI, it helped to lay a way to success of a brand. All of us are deeply grieved by news and we mourn Mr. Chiang. All our command will lack him very much.

In the interviews for Tom's Hardware of Sheng-Chiang Chiang spoke earlier about difficulties with which the company because of deficit of Intel processors and also because of aggravation of a trade political conflict between the USA and the People's Republic of China was forced to cope. Nevertheless, in June, 2020 the chairman of the board of the company Joseph Xiu quite optimistically characterized financial results of MSI. Growth of revenue of MSI in the first and second quarters 2020 was promoted by demand of high quality notebooks and computers of the company and also motherboards based on chipsets of AMD B450 and X570.[1][2]
