2024: Murder

In early January 2024, it became known that in Argentina there was a murder of a Russian programmer on the threshold of his house in Buenos Aires. The man was attacked by robbers, but he resisted and was injured, incompatible with life.

It is reported that 40-year-old Yevgeny Sipatov lived in Buenos Aires with his pregnant wife. In addition to programming, the Russian was also involved in cryptocurrency operations. Four motorcycle raiders attempted a robbery near a house in the Remedios de Escalada district (Lanous municipality). Sipatov completed the construction of his own dwelling a few weeks before the murder.

Yevgeny Sipatov, originally from Russia, a programmer who also sells cryptocurrencies, was killed by four motorcycle raiders who robbed him at his home, it was reported.

During the attack, Sipatov tried to fight off the robbers, but was shot in the chest with a pistol. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital but, despite the efforts of medics, died. The incident fell on video surveillance cameras.

It is also noted that the identity of one of the criminals has been established. This is Christian Alberto Ezequiel Mendes, who immediately after the attack tried to get rid of a motorcycle caught in the lens of video cameras. As of January 9, 2024, the police were unable to detain the robber, and his search continues.

According to eyewitness accounts, Sipatov was talking to another man at the door of his home when the attackers approached him. What exactly the criminals tried to steal is not specified. According to some reports, they did not take anything from the victim. It is also said that Sipatov became a naturalized Argentine and very soon should have become a father.^[1]
