Biography

2025: Employment over 4 years in 80 companies

Soham Parekh, a programmer from India, managed to find a job in eighty different technology companies over a four-year period, while not actually performing any work duties and delegating tasks to artificial intelligence. The specialist received wages without doing real work, and after being fired for inefficiency, he immediately settled in new organizations according to a similar scheme. Information about fraudulent activities became known on July 3, 2025.

According to NDTV, Parekh was simultaneously listed on the staff of four to five different organizations without notifying employers of multiple employment. The main difficulty for him was interviews with recruiters, but the number of successful jobs indicates that there are no problems at this stage.

The specialist's scheme was revealed after being fired from startup Playground AI, where he worked for just one week. The company's founder and former CEO of analytics firm Mixpanel, Suhail Doshi, posted a warning on social network X about Parekh's bad faith.

Doshi wrote in his profile that Parekh preys on accelerator company Y Combinator and works in three to four startups at the same time. He urged potential employers to exercise caution when considering the candidacy of this specialist.

To imitate labor activity, Parekh actively used modern technologies. He regularly gave answers generated by neural networks as the results of his own work, which allowed him to stay on the staff of companies for longer.

Parekh's resume, according to several of his employers, consisted of ninety percent inaccurate information. The document indicated a bachelor's degree from Mumbai University and a master's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, but the authenticity of this information is questioned.

The terms of work of a specialist in various companies varied significantly. From Playground AI, for example, he was fired a week after being hired, whereas other organizations could operate for longer periods.[1]
