2022: Receiving 3.5 years in prison for a bribe to ex-assistant Arkady Dvorkovich
At the end of September 2022, the Ostankino Court of Moscow sentenced US citizen Gene Spector, who served as chairman of the board of directors of Medpolymerprom Group of Companies. He was accused of giving bribes to the former assistant to Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich Anastasia Alekseeva. The man received 3.5 years in prison.

Gene Spector was found guilty of mediation in giving a bribe on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He fully admitted his guilt, his case was separated into a separate proceeding and considered in a special regime.

2024: Sentence - 15 years in prison for espionage
The Moscow City Court sentenced the former chairman of the board of directors of the Medpolymerprom group Yevgeny (Gene) Spector to 15 years in a maximum security colony for espionage, and also imposed a fine of ₽14 million on December 24, 2024.
