Alexey Spirin in 1995 graduated from Samara State Medical University with a degree in Medical Affairs, in 1998 he graduated from the Samara State Economic Academy with a degree in Accounting and Auditing.
Biography
1998-2000
Alexey Spirin began his career in 1998 as a surgeon in the Samara medical unit No. 7, and then continued to work in the same position in the city clinical hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov. In 2000, he was appointed chief physician of the Regional Diagnostic Center.
2002-2006
In 2002, he headed the central city clinic of Penza. In 2006, the doctor got a job in the Ministry of Health of the Samara region as the head of the department of the organization of primary health care and the implementation of projects of the ministry.
2010-2018
In 2010, Alexei Spirin became Minister of Health of the Amur Region, but was dismissed in January 2012 "for a single gross violation by the head of his official duties." Then it was noted that the minister could not cope with the tasks of implementing two targeted programs aimed at improving medical care for victims of traffic accidents and patients with cancer.
From 2012 to 2018, Alexei Spirin was the chief physician of the Samara Regional AIDS Center.
2020: Appointment as Minister of Health of Astrakhan Region
On June 8, 2020, Alexei Spirin was appointed Minister of Health of the Astrakhan Region. As head of the regional Ministry of Health, he will replace Fedor Orlov, who was dismissed in April 2020. From that moment, Svetlana Smirnova was acting minister.
The order that Spirin head the Astrakhan Ministry of Health was signed by the governor of the region Igor Babushkin. Prior to his appointment, Alexei Spirin was an adviser to the Astrakhan governor.[1]
During the presentation of the new Minister of Health, the Chairman of the Government of the Astrakhan Region, Alexander Sharykin, told the audience that "the decision to appoint was made on the basis of the professional qualities of Alexei Spirin." According to Sharykin, Spirin went through all stages of professional development.
In August 2021, Spirin resigned as Minister of Health of the Astrakhan Region.
