2003 - defended the master's thesis on a subject: "Improvement of technology of working off of vein gold deposits at big depths of the Kochkarsky field".

- worked as 1980-1987 at the enterprises of Kazakhstan and Bashkiria: mine foreman, supervising foreman, chief engineer, director of the mine.
November, 1997 - the CEO of Yuzhuralzoloto Group Ltd.
June, 2001 - the chairman of the board of directors of Yuzhuralzoloto Group Ltd.
2001 - the Acting CEO of JSC Chelyabinsk Coal Company.
